Established in 1992, Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours introduced the futuristic looking Jet Dome in 2000. Although currently only departing from Canada, the Jet Dome can be reserved for groups of 15 or more out of Lewiston, NY.
The Jet Dome Tour:
- Departs from Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON in the shoulder seasons (April, May, beginning of June, September and October).
- Departs from the Niagara Glen (Niagara Falls, ON) during the end of June, July, and August).
- All guests must be on site 45 minutes before your departure time.
- Passengers on the Dome must be at least 4 years old and 40 inches tall.
- Maximum seated capacity is 40 passengers.
- Passengers under the age of 16 must travel with an adult over the age of 18.
The Jet Dome has hydraulic doors that open up on both sides of the boat during the tour that presents unprecedented views of the Niagara Gorge.
When going through the Class Five whitewater, we close the doors to ensure everyone stays dry. On the tour we provide you with a head set to listen comfortably to your river guide commentating on points of interest, the geography, history and scenery of the Gorge, the mechanics of the jet dome, and the nuances of the mighty Niagara River.
