The Niagara Region has plenty to offer, on both sides of the Niagara River. When visiting Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours at one of two departures locations within Canada, be sure to provide yourself the time take in the view of the Horseshoe Falls. Of course, there is no view like the one you get from the Maid of the Mist however you probably already knew that. From there, drop into Table Rock and explore the many different offerings from the Niagara Parks Commission. You have the option to explore behind the falls with Journey Behind the Falls or hop on the Niagara Parks People Mover system and head north to stop at the White Water Walk, the Whirlpool Aero Car or even the Butterfly Conservatory. 
If you want to see the falls from greater heights, don’t miss the observation desk or the great dining at the Skylon Tower or even the Niagara SkyWheel. A 60 foot screen and 12, 000 watts of digital surround sound is sure to take you to new heights with IMAX: Legends and Daredevils. Even higher, the folks at Niagara Helicopters can take you above it all as you soar above Niagara Falls in Bell 407 helicopters. If you have some time in the evening, let the magic of Niagara continue as you take in a show at the Greg Frewin Theatre complete with tigers, sleight of hand and sheer illusion. If you are wondering where the money has all gone, you probably aren’t far from Casino Niagara or Niagara Fallsview Casino.
Because of Niagara’s bountiful agriculture, the local chefs are sure to amaze you with their farm to table offerings. Nothing goes better with a great meal than some great wines and Niagara has plenty wineries to suit your palette. A short north drive from Niagara Falls along the Niagara River will find you immersed in Niagara Wine Country...there are over 50 wineries within Niagara. At the mouth of the Niagara River you will find Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, a picturesque village with old town flair. Home of the Shaw Festival, Vintage Inns, White Oaks Resorts and Spa, and Bed and Breakfast Packages Extraordinaire, Niagara-on-the-Lake is a must do.
In the United States, you can explore the park like natural setting of Niagara Falls State Park, the oldest state park in the country. Within the park, the Cave of the Winds will provide quite the drenching of excitement from the Hurricane Deck, an unparalleled closeness to the Falls from Prospect Point, or the ability to dip your feet into the Niagara River from above the Falls at Three Sisters Island. If you want to learn more about the formation of the Niagara Gorge, be sure to head to the Niagara Gorge Discovery Center right next to the Niagara Falls Aquarium. A short walk from Niagara Falls State Park, you will find the Seneca Niagara Hotel and Casino, a true Las Vegas style casino. 
Not to be outdone by Niagara-on-the-Lake, the lower Niagara River region is home to Lewiston, NY a great village with a flair for arts and tons of culture. In Lewiston, you will find Artpark, one of the best outdoor concert venues in Western NY, host of the free concert series Tuesdays in the Park and Coors Light Wednesdays. Artpark is also the summer home of the Buffalo Philharmonic and a small run of a major Broadway musical. Not to be outdone by the arts in Lewiston, the boutiques and shops, artisan bakeries, and restaurants are sure to leave you asking for more.
Not far from Lewiston, NY is Youngstown, NY site of the Fort Niagara and some pretty amazing re-enactments. In the town of Lockport, NY you can ride through the only set of locks on the Erie Canal with Lockport Locks Scenic Boat Tours...completing your naval journey to Niagara.
